A year-round series. Building toward the Summit, and beyond it. The Summit is once a year. The Activations are how the Institute works in between.

The flagship Summit convenes once a year. The forces reshaping legal systems do not pause between editions. The Activations are how the Institute keeps working, through closed salons, institutional workshops, and sessions for the next generation.
Each activation is deliberately small. Deliberately serious. Built for the kind of conversation that only happens when the right people are gathered, without an audience, and without a programme to perform for.
They build the trust and institutional standing that make the Summit worth convening.
Small, closed gatherings of judiciary, general counsel, managing partners, and policymakers. Topics drawn directly from the Summit agenda. No audience, no performance. The conversation the profession needs to have.
Practical, applied sessions co-designed with institutional partners: Bar Associations, regulatory bodies, regional institutions, built around the questions facing their membership. The natural entry point for institutional partnership in the Institute.
Sessions for law students, emerging lawyers, and the next generation of civic leaders. It connects them to the institutional questions that will define their careers, and connects the Institute to a wider constituency than the Summit alone can reach.
An activation on neuroscience, mindfulness, and judgment, for legal leaders and policymakers.
The legal profession asks more of human judgment than almost any other field, yet has no systematic practice for sustaining it. This activation brings together neuroscience, mindfulness, and performance science in a working session designed for the legal community, from emerging lawyers to senior judiciary.
Dates and formats are indicative and subject to confirmation. Activations are announced directly to those who have expressed interest. Pre-register below to be kept informed as the series takes shape.
Whether you are an individual who wants to take part, or an institution that wants to host or partner, we want to hear from you. All activations are small.
A small number of organisations co-host and underwrite activations across the year: institutional partnership, with real involvement in the design, the work, and the outcome.
Bar Associations, law firms, regulatory bodies, foundations, and regional institutions are all natural co-hosts. The full picture lives on the Partners page.
Discuss partnership →No noise. No newsletters. When an activation is forming, you will hear about it directly.
